I’m at zero and I would fucking love to go bigger but I don’t want to be 60 with stretched ears (no offence to anyone that does) but anyways can spacers close after you get to 00 ? Because my friend told me I would have to cut the inside of my ears so it can scab up and close ..

To the person on what I’m now calling fuckedstretchedears, I think most of us here can agree that you shouldn’t be stretching your ears if you’re not in it for the long run. Stretched ears aren’t for “dress up”, you’re modifying your body in a somewhat drastic way so either decide if you do want to be 60 with stretched ears or not. If you chose not, then don’t do it in the first place.

no need to be sorry (: i think we have opposite seasons? i live in australia so its winter for us. I love the cold but i don't want to
sacrifice my lobes because of it.

silicone i can do, just regular silicone plugs (uber coloured ones) or earskins? or doesn't it matter? haha
I'm still stretching so i'm reluctant to buy earskins for a size i'm not going to stay at for very long. The other ones are
cheap so it doesn't matter!

Earskins or otherwise. If you use bodyartforms.com you can find some for cheap. They’re super comfortable too! You always could go “naked”, which doesn’t require spending money.

This is the opposite kind of advice I’ll be giving all of you. Correct answer for this person: downsize and if your holes close, get them repierced evenly. Scalpelling should be a last resort. Evening out is for avoiding thin spots and other possible issues, not if “OMG! someone notices!!!”

got any recommendations for helping my lobes with the cold?

gets kinda chilly 'round here and i want to take the best care of them in the cold.

Oh man, it just started warming up around here finally, sorry it’s only getting colder for you.
Your best bet for colder weather is either going without plugs in until you get where you’re going (assuming you’ll be outside), silicone, wood, or even acrylic. If you don’t have any of these materials a hat with ear flaps should also help you out!

Hello! I’m thegirlwithbluehair here but my name’s Sam (and, sadly, my hair currently isn’t blue) and I’m a pre-law/creative writing student currently located in Orange County, CA. My ears are stretched to 5/8” and have plans to get my conches punched at 4g in the near future. My septum (not shown here) is at 10g with a goal size of 8g or 6g. :)

Oh, and I’m really excited that there’s now a stretched-piercings tumblr that won’t be constantly infringing on copyrights and posting tapers worn as jewelry and such. ;D
